I Want to Hire a Personal Injury Lawyer. What Do I Do?
Video transcript: Yeah, that’s actually a great question. I had a dear friend of mine the other day tell me he gets frustrated because people spend more time doing research on the vet that they’re going to take their pet to than they research the lawyer that’s going to handle their case. Obviously if you can get a recommendation from someone you know and trust who’s unfortunately been through the situation, I think that’s the best way to start.
If you don’t know a personal injury lawyer per se but you know a trusted, well-respected lawyer, reach out to that lawyer and see if they can’t recommend someone that they’ve worked with in the past. If you end up that you’re online, you know, look for reviews, look to see whether the lawyer is board-certified, go to the state bar website to see whether there’s any grievances or any history with problems with the state bar and see particularly what type of cases they handle and whether it fits within your needs.
